Overview

The TFS Hammerfist is the Federation's premier fire-support battleship — built not to hold the line but to stand behind it and systematically destroy everything the enemy is using to hold theirs. Its long-range kinetic railguns can engage targets at distances that preclude effective counter-battery fire, and its fire-control AI cycles targeting solutions faster than any human crew could manage, allowing it to shift fires across a chaotic battlespace without losing accuracy. Federation ground commanders request Hammerfist support by name; they have learned that its arrival means the enemy's heavy emplacements have an approximate life expectancy of four minutes.

Lore

The name was chosen by the first crew. They said it described the experience of being on the receiving end. After the Battle of Vega Station, no one who survived the receiving end argued with them.
