Frequently Asked Questions
Is this pay-to-win?+
No. Every gameplay system — combat, expansion, diplomacy, economy — is accessible to free players. The +25% resource boost and extra fleet slots speed up your early game but do not create an insurmountable advantage. Skilled strategy, alliances, and diplomacy far outweigh any production multiplier at high play levels. The top alliances include many free players.
Can I cancel?+
Yes, at any time. Cancel through your in-game Account settings or via the Stripe customer portal. Your Premium benefits remain active until the end of your current billing period. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time.
Are gems transferable between accounts?+
No. Gems are tied to the account that purchased them and cannot be gifted, transferred, traded, or sold. They have no cash value outside of the Starforge in-game shop.
What currencies are supported?+
Prices are displayed in GBP (£) — Premium at £3.99/month or £35.99/year. Stripe automatically converts to USD ($) and EUR (€) at current exchange rates during checkout. Your card may charge in your local currency — check with your bank for foreign transaction fee details.
What do gems do?+
Gems are cosmetics-only currency. They unlock ship skins, sector banners, animated profile frames, and emotes. Gems cannot purchase combat ships, resources, or anything that affects gameplay balance — ever.
Do gem packs expire?+
Never. Your gem balance is permanent and carries over even if your Premium subscription lapses.
What happens when my subscription ends?+
Your account reverts to the standard free experience. No resources or game progress are lost. You keep any cosmetics you purchased with gems.
