Welcome to Starforge MMO — Build Your Space Empire

Starforge MMO is live. Discover what the game is, how it works, and how to claim your early alpha access before the galaxy fills up.

Today is the day. After two years of development, countless late nights debugging fleet pathfinding algorithms, and more playtesting sessions than we can count, Starforge MMO is officially open for early alpha access.

If this is your first time hearing about us: welcome. You're about to enter a persistent browser-based space strategy game where every star system on the map is owned, contested, or fought over by real human commanders — right now, in real time.

What Is Starforge MMO?

Starforge MMO is a persistent multiplayer space strategy game that runs entirely in your browser. No downloads, no installs — open a tab and you're in the galaxy within 60 seconds.

At its core, the game is about three things:

Empire Building. You start with a single command centre on a modest star system. From there, you build extractors, refineries, research labs, shipyards, and defensive fortifications. Every building you construct feeds into a production chain that ultimately powers your fleet and your expansion across the galactic map.

Fleet Warfare. Starforge features real-time fleet combat on a living 3D galactic map powered by Three.js. You watch your ships move between star systems, engage enemy fleets, and capture territory — not in a turn-based menu, but as an animated, living universe playing out in your browser. Design custom ship loadouts, assign fleet commanders, and coordinate with alliance members for coordinated multi-front offensives.

Economic Domination. The galactic market is 100% player-driven. Resource prices fluctuate based on real supply and demand. Trade routes, arbitrage opportunities, market manipulation, and faction-specific economic abilities create a layer of depth that rivals dedicated economic strategy games. If combat isn't your style, you can build an empire on spreadsheets and trade margins.

There is no pay-to-win. Premium currency purchases cosmetics — ship skins, base themes, commander portraits — and the occasional quality-of-life convenience like extra build queues. Nothing behind a paywall changes the outcome of a battle or a market trade.

Four Factions, One Galaxy

Every player in Starforge aligns with one of four factions, and your choice shapes everything: your buildings, your ships, your diplomatic options, and the type of player you become.

The Terran Federation believes in order and collective strength. Their defensive bonuses and research speed make them the most forgiving faction for new players and the backbone of any serious alliance.

The Void Syndicate operates in the shadows. Cloaking ships, devastating spy networks, and a black-market economy that bypasses galactic trade taxes — Void players don't fight fair, and they don't need to.

The Solar Empire harnesses stellar energy for raw destructive power. Their capital ships deal more damage than any equivalent vessel in the game. The early game is painful; the late game is terrifying.

The Free Traders don't fight wars — they fund them. With zero market transaction fees, a unique AI Oracle that predicts price movements, and the ability to embargo entire factions from the galactic market, a skilled Free Traders player is the most powerful economic force in the galaxy.

How the Alpha Works

Early alpha access is intentionally limited. We're targeting 500 to 2,000 concurrent commanders in the first phase to stress-test our real-time systems, gather balance feedback, and identify the edge cases that only appear when real players interact with the game in ways our QA team never anticipated.

Alpha participants get:

- Permanent "Founding Commander" title visible on the galactic leaderboard

- Exclusive Ship Skin: the Iron Pioneer hull variant for Scout-class vessels

- Early access to faction lore chapters as we release them

- Direct feedback channel to the development team in Discord

Alpha progress is not wiped before full launch. What you build now, you keep.

What Comes After Alpha

We're not launching a half-finished game and calling it Early Access. The alpha exists to refine and balance what's already a complete core experience. Our post-alpha roadmap includes:

- Season 1 Battle Pass — a 60-tier progression track with cosmetic rewards, lore chapters, and exclusive commander abilities

- Galactic Events — server-wide crises that require cross-faction cooperation to resolve, with unique rewards for top contributors

- Mobile Client — a companion app for base management and market trading on the go

- Expanded Faction Lore — written story content, voiced commander dialogue, and faction-specific questlines

The full launch is planned for Q4 2026. Alpha participants will have a three-month head start on the rest of the galaxy.

How to Claim Your Alpha Access

Head to [starforgemmo.com](https://starforgemmo.com), click Play Alpha, and register your Commander account. Slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you're in, complete the 10-minute tutorial before doing anything else — it grants starter resources that would otherwise take 30 minutes to accumulate and introduces the core mechanics in the right order.

After the tutorial, choose your faction, find an alliance on the Galactic Board, and start building.

The galaxy is live. It's filling up. And it won't wait for you.

Welcome to Starforge, Commander. Let's see what you're made of.
