Patch 0.9.5-beta — Cargo Insurance, Galaxy Day & Security Hardening

The 0.9.5-beta release introduces the Cargo Insurance system for trade fleets, the server-wide Galaxy Day event, five new sector anomalies, and a major security pass that closes an SQL injection vector and hardens every API response with CSP, HSTS, and Permissions-Policy headers.

• HP calculation in combat now uses pre-damage HP values, so over-killing can no longer eliminate more ships than the dealt damage warranted.
• Cargo Insurance: purchase Basic (30% coverage) or Full (80% coverage) before a trade fleet departs, then file a claim if it is destroyed en route.
• Fixed a critical Next.js build failure caused by an incompatible unoptimized:false config under output:export.
• Closed an SQL injection vector in the monetization metrics service; all queries are now parameterised.

Patch 0.9.4-beta — Diplomacy, Territory Wars & Battle Replays

The 0.9.4-beta release ships the full alliance Diplomacy engine, structured weekly Territory Wars, and a timestamped Battle Replay Viewer. A combat seed desync that caused replays to diverge from live battles is fixed, and replay files are now GZIP-compressed for a ~65% size reduction.

• Sector influence now decays over time for uncontested sectors, forcing active defence rather than passive holding.
• DiplomacyService: propose, accept, reject, and expire non-aggression pacts and trade agreements, with reputation impact on breach.
• Fixed a battle outcome desync where the combat seed was not persisted between calculation and replay serialisation, causing replays to show different results than the live battle.

Patch 0.12.0 — Content Expansion — Commanders, Hulls & Crafting

Phase 12 is the largest content drop to date: commanders expand to sixteen with a full role system, five new high-tier hulls join the fleet, the component-crafting chain adds seven intermediate resources, and blueprints triple from fifteen to forty-five with tier-upgrade paths and legendary boss drops.

• Tier V modules are now flagged as max-tier; all 54 non-max modules gained an explicit upgrade_path with cost and build time.
• Commanders expanded to 16 with a role system (admiral, engineer, scientist, trader, scout, miner) and acquisition methods.
• Resolved 142 data-reference errors flagged by validate-data.js (now reporting zero), including 17 blueprint result references and all ship faction/unlockTech references.
